PINOY GATHERING AT RUEBEN'S 5TH BIRTHDAY

Happy 5TH Birthday Rueben!

First things first, Rueben is the first son of my dearest friend Raquel here in Malaysia. Eto kami ↓↓↓ nung 2010 sa Singapore ☺☺.

We've been friends since 2009, we met here in Malaysia, then 2010 she moved to SG. From then on, tuloy pa din ang friendship namin hanggang sa nakapag-asawa na sya at nagkaanak, ngayon may 2 beautiful boys na sya ^.^ Did I say she's one of my dearest friends? hehehe, dearest talaga ^.^ And in addition, magkumare kami. Mas matanda ako kay Mars but she spoils me like her younger sister. She's beautiful inside and out. Thanks Mars!

Last saturday, together with other Pinoys/families here in Muar, we drove to Johor Bharu(169 km from Muar) to celebrate Rueben's 5th birthday.

With 4 cars and a total of 16 people, we started to hit the road at around 2 pm.

We made a pit stop at Machap R&R- Rehat Dan Rawat in Bahasa- in English it's Rest and Treat.

It's one thing that we like the most when travelling here in Malaysia, they have R&R along the road where you can rest, take bathroom breaks and if hungry, buy some snacks and refreshments. Also for your car petrol topup/refill and inflate your tires.

After reaching Austin Towers Condominium Club House(the venue), as Pinoy Kaugalian, tulong tulong kami sa set-up. Joining our creative minds and helping hands, we finished setting up the place with happy smiles and full of laughters. 

It's Chow time! After being busy setting the place, it's time to eat! Buffet style. The most awaited moment. Kainan na!

Ayan, nakakain na kami ^.^ kaya kulitan time na, kuwentuhan, tawanan at picture-ran na hehehe.. Pose dito, pose doon. Nakatayo, nakaupo, lahat nakangiti. We're all born to be actors and actresses, always ready to pose and smile whenever there's a camera ready to capture every moment.

Before heading back to Muar, we decided to have a coffee and choco break. It's Starbucks Time! Kanya-kanyang hanap ng puwesto. Kuwentuhan ulit. Time to charge-up our needed caffeine for the day. 

But we did not stayed there for too long, because it's a bit late and still have a long way to reach Muar. After some clicks, we went to hit the road again. We arrived home at around 1:30 AM, after confirming that everyone reached home safe and sound, it's time to hit the bed and take a rest ^.^

In a nutshell.
      Whenever you're given the chance to gain a friend/s, grab it by the hand. Put your heart into it. You may never know when will be the next time that you'll have this great chance again. It's a two way relationship and differences is a part of it. I am happy to have this chance with my Mars and with my other dear friends. I may not have a long list of them but the most important is I have the true ones.

OUR FAVE CHICKEN IN MALAYSIA.. NANDO'S PERI PERI CHICKEN

Nando's Chicken, so far, is the best grilled chicken we've ever had here in Malaysia.
Our Filipino friend introduced this restaurant to us way back 2009. And boy, we are thankful.
Since then, whenever we have friends(Filipinos and Europeans alike)/family visiting us here in Malaysia, we make sure to share this food with them, and it never gets old. Never did it happened that Nando's Chicken failed us to impress and satisfy our guests ^.^

Last weekend, hubby and I, again, decided to go to Melaka. Pasyal lang, date ng kunti, window shop and lastly have our lunch at Nando's.

Nando's also take pride on their ambiance, providing their loyal customers a relaxing atmosphere whilst enjoying the food. Photo of the place was taken at Nando's Melaka.

     For the star of the day! the , several flavors to choose from, which can tickle your taste buds!!

     Plain...ish, Lemon and Herb for the Not So Brave ^.^, Mild, Hot and Extra Hot.        ⇩⇩ ⇩⇩ ⇩⇩
         

    For me, I like Lemon and Herb and once in a while, Mild. While for hubby always prefers Hot ^.^
     The chicken is tender, juicy and freshly cooked, with a combination of sour and salty taste. In it's simplest form, masarap sya ^.^ enough reason for us to keep coming back for more and satisfy our cravings.
    Once your order is served, a small flag is provided to indicate the level of the flavor.

       Mediterranean Rice - with bits of vegetables.

   Chargrilled Mix Vegetables - a combination of fresh char grilled vegetables.

This is us while waiting for our order to be served, picture picture while holding our famished look ^.^. Life is too complicated to take it seriously, so, why bother. 

While I was editing this blog, last Thursday, our Filipino friends together with their families who are spending their vacations here and the two of us, decided to have a small feast for dinner at Nando's . 

Kitams! We love Nando's that we all decided to gather and have our dinner on one of our favorite restaurants here.. on the top of the list ^.^

May joke kami dito e, eto ung chicks na binabalik balikan namin sa Melaka ^.^

After work, we all headed straight to Melaka, around 42km from Muar(approx. 45 minute drive).

Eto na kami, a total of 16 persons. Ang haba ng mesa namin. ⇓⇓⇓

We decided to order one flavor for the chicken which is Lemon and Herb, bawiin na lang sa sauce para sa mga gusto ng Mild/Hot/Extra Hot. Para mas madali ang pagdating ng order namin. And we have kids to consider as well. We added mediterranean rice, Chargrilled veggie, peri peri chips and sweet potato chips as side lines.
Ang sayang magulo ^.^. Kulitan, kuwentuhan ^.^ 

Wala ng picture pagdating ng food since lahat e gutom na. 

After consuming our food, we all decided to roam a little bit and then go back to Muar, Balik Kampung ☺☺

Enjoying every moment and always focusing on the positive side of life. Anyways, we only got one chance in life. Give love to receive love. Respect to gain respect. Happiness is a choice and we CHOSE HAPPINESS ^.^

Ending the day with a full stomach, shared with stories together with laughters.

And then we called it a day.
