9TH BALLOON FIESTA @ DESA PARK CITY

Regene Photography ^.^
Hello there!
Last month, our friend Flor invited us to this event, the 9Th Balloon Fiesta at Desa Park City, Kuala Lumpur, formerly known as The Annual International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. It will be the first time that this event will be held in Desa Park not in Putrajaya. Flor bought our tickets via online to avail the Early Bird Promotional Price for only 16RM instead of the standard 30RM for General Admission, pretty reasonable, right?!

Me, being excited, I searched some informations online about the said event and saw a lot of beautiful hot air balloon photos and made me more excited! Can't wait to take a bunch of photos and it's definitely gonna be fun.

March11, Saturday, we hit the road around 8am on the way to Kuala Lumpur. Since the gate for General Admission will only open starting at 3:30 PM, we decided to go to Ikea first and have our lunch there before going to Desa Park.

Together with other Pinoys(expat) from Seremban whom are Flor and Dennis's friends/former co-worker from OnSemi Seremban, we drove from Ikea to Desa Park and parked at the Waterfront Carpark which cost 3RM(first 2 hours and 1RM for the succeeding hours).
After claiming our wrist band from the On Site Ticket Counter, we proceed to the park where the event was held. Upon entering, we were welcomed with several food carts, from known shops like Pizza Hut and Starbucks, then there's a long stretch of tents called the "Foodgasmfest", where you can purchase and try  a wide variety of snacks from drinks, sandwiches, ice creams, local foods and different kinds of cookies at a reasonable price.
The crowd consists of locals and foreign tourists from different countries coming from different walks of life, old and young.
Walking to the event location, this is the first balloon to see. From Philippines ^.^

This Balloon is from the Bayan ng Lubao, Lalawigan ng Pampanga
It's so nice to see something presenting our country.Proud Filipino here ^.^
Hot air balloon festival like this is an annual event celebration also in Philippines. They just had the said event last February, sadly we're here in Malaysia and we've never got the chance to witness this amazing event. For more information, just click →A Weekend of Everything That Flies - see from the event name itself, it's pretty convincing that it was fun and amazzing..

Seeing the balloons(giant ones!) feels like I was a kid again.
This is our(Hubby and I) first time to witness this type of event and it's pretty amazing though they only have five hot air balloons on site. And I may say, it's really hot whenever they fire the burner to keep the balloons afloat. But this did not kept us from taking photos closely beside the balloons. As you can see at the photos, people are busy looking for the right angle where they can capture a good shot.
On the other side, there's a big tent and a stage where the program is being held and had some games so viewers can win prizes. You can also purchase merchandises on the site like shirts, umbrellas, toys and event souvenirs.
If you're the type of person who wants to just relax and enjoy/observe what's happening around you, there's a place for you, there's a set-up where they place big pillows/mats that you can sit and hang out.
As the sky turned dark, they performed a Balloon Glow Show synchronizing with the music. It was fun, people are dancing and having a good time. And lastly, the event ended with a spectacular fireworks array which lasted for about three minutes ^.^
But there were some minor downsides that needs mentioning here. Since it rained earlier that day, it made the park muddy and slippery. Which made it difficult to walk around. Also, we were expecting different kinds of balloons. I was told, that last year they have balloons that portrayed some movie characters, different shapes and colors. And none of them was present during the event. Since the park is quite smaller compared to Putrajaya, it's a bit over crowded. Anyways, this is my first time in this type of event so I can't personally make a comparison, but it would be much nicer if it was just like the previous years' set up. We just enjoyed what's there to enjoy. Still I can say, we had fun and great time. And we are really grateful to our friends who invited us to this event. We will definitely attend again next year.

At times like this, I don't look only to what's in front of me. The experience/time that we shared together with friends, the stories/laughters'/ relationships that you built with your friends, is what matters most.

I Jumped and We Kissed in Europe

WARNING: Cheezy photos ahead ^.^ Look away.

  Europe..

Milan, Venice, Rome and Paris, never in my wildest dream that I will get to go and see these places, not even included in my Bucket List.

Of course, I'm well aware of these places, how beautiful they are and how magical Eiffel Tower is.
Never have I thought that I will get to see these places the soonest I imagined...

One day, a huge blessing was unraveled in front of us, time suddenly stood still when hubby told me that we're going to Italy.
I can still remember that day, as if it was yesterday. I was busy cleaning our room that very hour when hubby called and said 'Love, punta tayo Italy', he never said 'Punta ako Italy', he specifically said 'tayo' ^.^. Yes, that's how my hubby loves me very much. Sama nya ko sa Italy.... We know it's expensive but he's willing to spend those bucks for us to see Italy together. Hey,look at the brighter side, It's a chance of a lifetime. And you bet, we are excited! Actually I'm afraid of flying but this trip did not in any way gave me a slight fear of flying, that's how excited I was ^.^

And to cut the story short, we went to Italy together and planned to which places to go. We came up with Milan, Venice, Rome and Paris.

Read ahead ^.^ This is your last chance. I have to warn you, cheezy photos ahead.

Need more practice ^.^

Saint Peters Basilica, Rome

Cheeezzzyyyy...

Trevi Fountain,Rome
This place was jam packed with tourists like us, we had a hard time looking for a place where we can settle our things ^.^ And whallaaa.. Here we are. You can make a wish after throwing/tossing a coin into the fountain that one day you will return to Rome again. And we did it, hoping that one day our wish will come true.

Lovers In Paris ^.^

And here I am again, attempting to do that Obligatory Jump. Practice makes perfect, see for yourself below ↓↓↓

Yun Oh! Kitams! Practice makes perfect!
My jump will actually tell how happy I was seeing Eiffel Tower, well, who wouldn't be?
Wishing that one day I will be able to do this jump in front of Statue of Liberty and do our kiss as well. It's in my Bucket List now. We will kiss and I will jump in places we will be visiting in the(hopefully near) future.
After this trip, if there's one lesson I've learned, it's nothing is impossible. With God all is possible and I hang on to that word every single day.
Until today, though this photos was taken years back, I can still feel butterflies in my belly whenever I reminisce our trip in Italy. Biggest thanks.
All the love for my hubby, my ray of sunshine.

APACS BADMINTON CENTRE,MUAR-HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

When in Muar and you're looking for a place to play/learn badminton. This is one of the places to go to. We were introduced to badminton by our fellow Expat Filipinos here in Malaysia. Back in Philippines, I played badminton just in front of our house with my husband or sometimes with my niece, just for fun or papawis lang ^.^
Once a week, we play badminton here with other Filipinos for two hours for 12Rm rate per hour. Based from feedback from other players , there are other three more Badminton Facilities here in Muar but have not been able to play there yet though...
First off, only Non-Marking Shoes are allowed to use when playing here for the reason that the courts flooring is made of rubberized material(please refer to the photo below).
The facility staffs randomly check players shoes to ensure that only proper footwear is used, so to avoid any inconveniences just use the non marking ones ^.^. An indoor shop is available here where you can purchase anything(badminton related of course) from shuttle cock/racket to shoes/towels/bags, and other basic necessities like water and power drinks for hydration. There are a total of 16 courts to accommodate players.
We've already been playing badminton for quite some time now, though hindi pa din ako magaling ^.^. I personally like this place. It's clean, have ample space for players and well lit. The ceiling line is very high as you can see, para sa mga matataas pumalo hehehe. It's quite humid (need to control the wind to avoid impact to the shuttle cock) inside but it's bearable. A great place to play badminton. They even have CCTV's for safety. Separate Toilets(as what they call it here, nde comfort room) is provided in three locations(both end and at the center).

Don't forget to book for a court beforehand(or as early as possible) before  heading to this place because it's always full house. And most of all, have fun playing badminton. A great time to bond with friends, share laughters, release stress from work and get to shed some pounds.
See you on my next post ^.^ Hope this post has somehow help you.

FABULOUS PLACE TO GET FIT- TRIANGLE FITNESS GYM,MUAR

     TRIANGLE GYM
118 Jalan Bakri, Taman Tun Dr Ismail 84000
         Muar Johor

Note: All photos here have a blue shade, it's because of the lighting inside the premises ^.^

When in Muar and your looking for a place where you can shed some pounds, do some workouts and gain those wanted muscles. This is the place to go.
Triangle Gym located at the second floor of this building.
Once a week hubby goes to this gym, which costs 10RM  per workout(for walk-in customers that is). They have three instructors that will/can assist you and teach(if your a newbie) you on how to correctly execute a certain workout properly(so as to avoid personal injuries with improper form), so if the need for help/assistance arises, just approach them.

For Inspirational Purposes ^.^

This place is well lit as you can see in the pictures below. And all the equipments are clean and well maintained. Everything you need( well of course besides the declined bench, in which you can still use a make shift declined setup) for your exercises program/routine.
Firstly for cardio vascular exercise, there are several treadmills and different stationary bike setups. At the same time there are several television setups around the premises for those who likes watching while doing the workout/resting between sets.

Gym Instructor #1

Nice right ^.^
Gym Instructor #2
They even provide a very nice restroom both for Male and Female separately. There's even a Sauna inside! If you want to sweat a little bit more^.^ Lockers are also provided where you can keep your personal stuffs, shower rooms and toilet, also you can utilize the hair dryer provided after washing up.

This glass walled area is where they perform their group activity led by the instructors. Normally, ladies prefer to do their exercise routines here. You can cover the glass wall with curtains if you feel a bit shy/and/or for privacy purposes.

Here the floors are covered with rubber mats for your safety(avoidance of bouncing plate/dumbbells). The long stretch of wall mirrors, can help you check if your doing the exercise with proper posture/execution and for your safety as well.
Anyways, who would not want to see their self(maybe taking selfie or two) when exercising. Ever been in a gym without mirrors? That would be weird, right?
Another thing to commend is that this place is clean/hygienic and very well ventilated(natural air passes through), ample space for plenty of gym goers, so you could do your sets without bashing into the person next to you.

Took this for your use.

There you go guys, if your still looking for a place to exercise, lift irons and gain friends at the same time, this is the place for you. Visit the place and see for yourself. Enjoy and leave a comment here if you like Triangle as we did.
See you on my next post. I'll be writing places about Muar.

We love Muar!
