LANGKAWI EAGLE SQUARE, DATARAN LANG

Located at the right side of Kuay Jetty.
This is the largest man made eagle statue I've ever seen so far. With both wings spread wide with great lengths. Admiring its beauty and feeling the strength of the eagle with its meticulously made structures. Standing high above the ground. With the spectacular blue sky above and clean clear sea below.

This place is visited by tourists and locals alike. Enjoying everything that this park has to offer. But be advised that it can be very hot during the day here. Having located in an open space beside the sea, the wind and the sun can be a bit unforgiving sometimes. Just equip yourself with some sunscreens or bring your hat/umbrella ^.^.

Back View
Be it front, side or back view, this statue portraits strength and power. Standing tall and looking down to everything there is below him.

With Friends!- GoPro

Here comes sunset!
Capturing its beauty under the lens.
Once again witness its beauty and power in another perspective.
This place is not only about this eagle but as well as its surroundings. Great place for picnics and hang out with friends or with your someone special.
Just walking distance from this place, you'll find several souvenir outlets. And numbers of restaurants, enough to provide for your hunger.

LoveLots!

LANGKAWI ISLAND HOPPING

Another way to explore Langkawi is through there beautiful islands. Your trip here will never be perfect without visiting these islands and white sand beaches.
Island Hopping!
It's time to hit the road for our adventure for the day ^.^
Pinoys from Muar
Boy Band?!

Collaboration of Pinoys in Malaysia

Wearing a life vest is a must. Have someone/something to hold on to during this entire trip for your own safety. Believe me when I say, it's a fast and a rough ride. As if you'll think that the boat is hitting some hard rocks under.

Our captain first showed us this mountain  which shapes like a pregnant lady lying in her back.

Second Destination: Dayang Bunting Lake
                                   Entrance Fee : 6 RM
Life Vest Rent : 5 RM - Guests are required to wear life vest when swimming in the lake.

On our way to the forest.
Reminder:
While walking thru the pathway, be mindful of the monkeys around. Don't bring anything wrap in plastic bag because they will think its food and they will snatch it from you. Just refrain from feeding them. They may look at you with curiosity but they will not harm you. They are only interested in the one they thought is food that you are carrying.
First time hubby and I visited this lake was 6 years ago. During that time, our tourist guide shared us about a love story behind this lake. About a Princess and an ordinary guy who fell in love with each other. They got married and then the princess got pregnant. But unfortunately, their son did not live longer which they buried his body in the lake. Then the princess prayed to whoever has a difficulty in having their own child will be blessed with fertility after dipping into the water.

After reaching this part of the forest, one can choose several activities.

Or you can take this boardwalk where you can reach the other end and see this white sand
beach. ⇩

But from this point, as far as I can see, there's no way going down.  I don't know if there's a way either to this beach.

Third Destination: Eagle Feeding
Here you can feed eagles and enjoy watching them as they dive into the water picking up their food. But during this visit our boat captain forgot to bring one. But luckily, when we're about to reach this place, several tourists are already feeding the eagles, enough for us to witness and admire the eagles while catching their food.
Photos below were taken six years ago.⇩⇩ - during our first trip.

Fourth Destination: Pulau Beras BasaTime to hit the beach!
Last part of this tour is hitting the beach here at Pulau Beras Basa. After applying our sunscreen, one by one we run to the beach and spent an hour enjoying the water. As time passes by, a lot of tourists like us arrived to spend the rest of the day here. Just a few meters away from the shore there's a part where you are not allowed to go further because of the sea urchins present below the sea bed. But then, we enjoyed relaxing our tired body swimming in this beach. Clear blue sky above you, green forest, clean warm water massaging your body and soft white sand feeling your feet, this is VACATION!

Friendly Reminder:
There's no Comfort Rooms or Tandas( in Bahasa ^.^) in this beach. Which means NO Changing Room for you. Just be creative! Wear your swimmer and layer it with your changing clothes.
Bring sunscreens! You don't want that painful sunburns, right!

Life is like a camera...
Focus on what's important,
Capture the good times,
Develop from the negatives,
And if things don't work out,
Take another shot! Credits: PictureQoutes.com

PERMAI HOTEL KUALA TERANGGANU - HOTEL REVIEW

Hi there!
Today, I'll be sharing with you guys my review on Permai Hotel KT, where we stayed for 3D and 2N during our vacation in Kuala Terangganu.
First, I booked our room via Agoda.

Booked the Superior Room with Buffet Breakfast.
Used my credit card for payment then I received an email confirming our reservation and a text to my Malaysian Number as well.
Come our day of arrival at the hotel.
We didn't had a hard time finding the hotel because it is located just along the road and it's a huge hotel to miss. I was surprised when I saw the hotel. It's huge, seriously ^.^
Presented our printed receipt as well as the text message I received.
Checking in was smooth. Personnel in charge was very accommodating.

#elevatorselfie ^.^
Got our room key card and on our way to our room.

Sorry but I forgot to take photos of the room.
Okay, I'll just describe the room then I'll share my thoughts afterwards. ^.^
When booking, you can ask/request if you want Non-Smoking or Smoking Room.
For us, we chose Non-Smoking with window.
From the elevator going out, floors are carpeted as well as inside the room.
Once inside the room you'll see a personal fridge, tv, wall cabinet with flat iron and ironing board. They even have an extra pillow inside the cabinet if in case you need one.
Stand alone lampshade, coffee table, coffee maker, full size mirror besides the mirror on the photo above.
Aircon is centralized.

For the toilet.
I may say, I liked this part of the room.
It's free from any molds. The water pressure is great and has a water heater for shower and the faucet. Provided all needed bath soaps.
It has a glass wall in the middle separating the toilet and the bathroom.
Though the provided bath towels are a bit yellowish :( . Luckily, we brought our own bath towels ^.^

For the buffet breakfast.
Commending this part of their service.
Wide selection of food.
From cereals with milk, breads, noodles/mee, rice, meat(beef, chicken), desserts, roti and the like. Drinks they have coffee, milk and different fruit juices. I may say, they got it covered. Adding to it, they have different food choices everyday. Since we stayed here for 3 days with free breakfast, yup! we basically witnessed it all. For the plates, cups, utensils and tissues, there all clean.
And for the dining place, it's wide. Can accommodate a lot of tables.

For the Parking Area.
Parking our car is hassle free. They have a wide parking space for each car. We chose to park right next the security guard's office ^.^
My thoughts about this hotel.
Physically this hotel is huge. It has two wings which covers the non smoking and smoking rooms. Everywhere you look you'll see ample space for everything like there gardens, restaurants, reception area, parking space downstairs and in front of the hotel.
Though they need to do some repair for the carpets, some parts are spoiled. Elevators are in good shape.
Overall, I liked this hotel.
Room Centralized Aircon - Very Good
Water Pressure Toilet/Bath - Very Good
Food/Breakfast - Very Good
Parking Space - Very Good
Bath Towels - Just Nice, Better to bring your own ^.^
Though it has several downside when it comes to the carpets, needs a little maintenance, but that's it.
For the price, very reasonable.

Yup! That's it and definitely recommend this place.
Have you tried this place? Don't forget to share your experience and share this with your friends.

Have a good day!
And see you again!

LoveLots,
Renelah

MY SUMAN WITH SWEET TOPPINGS

My Suman Latik

Actually, I'm not really sure if this is called Suman Latik, because the toppings is not a Latik, it's Bukayo (a sweet coconut dessert made of stripped young coconut meat, though, since we can't find young stripped coconut meat at the moment we settled to the not-so-young version ^.^, but to be fair it does tastes like Bukayo ^.^).
But I'm sure that the sticky rice is called SUMAN ^.^

Okay, without further ado, let's start this ^.^
Sharing another Merienda Recipe with you guys.

Here are the steps:
1. Drain soaked glutinous rice.
2. Cut banana leaves roughly 4" in width, clean and heat over fire to make it pliable. Don't worry for the uneven sizes, it can be used as patches to cover holes on the leaves.
3. Put 1.5 tbsp. of glutinous rice over banana leaf then wrap. Make sure to leave enough space for the rice to expand when cooked. Close the packet by tying a cloth thread to secure the glutinous rice.
   Repeat this process until finished.

Refer to the above photo for the steps. ⇧
My Suman! natapos din magbalot ^.^ ampagod but worth it.

4. In a deep casserole, arrange all packets of glutinous rice, then fill with water. Bring to a boil.
Turn fire to medium once the water starts boiling. Boil continuously for 25-30 minutes. It will double it's size when cooked. See photo below.
Just to be sure, open one suman and take a small portion to taste.
Remove cooked suman from the water and place in a strainer to let the water drip.

Now cooking the Bukayo.

In a deep pan, combine fresh coconut milk, coconut meat, water and brown sugar. Bring to a boil.

Using low fire, stir the mixture.
This process lasted for an hour and 10 minutes.
And here is the final product ^.^
See that the coconut oil has already surfaced on top and you'll hear the frying sound while cooking.
Adjust sweetness according to your liking.

And it's Meryenda Time!
Best eaten with black coffee (brewed preferably) ^.^
And shared with friends!
Cooked a total of 18 pcs. of Suman.
