Pulau Langkawi & Penang

Nov.24,2011- my birthday and also our 8th Year Wedding Anniversary.

Yes guys, you heard it right, 8 years na kami. It seems like yesterday when hubby and I first met during our college years and now we’re already 8 years together as a married couple. Time really flies so fast. And he still gives me butterflies in my stomach.

Since hubby and I are big fan of travelling, see diff places, try diff kinds of local foods(actually sya lang kasi medyo pihikan ako sa pagkain hehehe). We decided to spend our double celebration in a Pulau Langkawi-Penang Tour.
You can reach Langkawi via Ferry Boat or by Air.
Good thing we availed a travel tour, we had no hassle in reaching Langkawi since it's our first time.

Oh dhavah! nakapag 2piece din ako hehehe...

                            Island Hopping

Pulau Dayang Bunting or Island of the Pregnant Maiden - stare at the picture you will see a figure of a pregnant lady.

Eagle Feeding

Langkawi Sky Bridge.

Bukit Bendera or Penang Hill

Hubby and I at Jetty Point.

The thin line in between is the Penang Bridge.
Pulau Langkawi is a duty free island, where you can find malls and stores providing the lowest price. Ansarap mamili hehehe...

It was a tiring tour but we had so much fun. Happy memories that we will surely treasure.
Thank you Ne, for this experience and for making my birthday and our wedding anniversary special every year.

Sweet and Sour Fish

Hubby got sick last Monday, so I decided to cook one of his fave.

Some including me prefer Lapu-Lapu for sweet and sour, but
this time wala me nakitang Lapu-Lapu sa market. So I decided to buy this fish
na bagay sa lutong sweet and sour, hindi ko alam kung ano ang tawag sa fish na ‘to dito sa Malaysia, next time I promise to ask.
Garlic
Onion
Tomato Sauce/Ketchup
Brown Sugar, Salt, Ground Pepper
Vinegar, Water
Ginger, Bell Pepper & Carrots-cut into strips

Deep fry your chosen fish, separate.
In a separate pot, sauté garlic until light brown. Stir in onion and
ginger. Add water, let it boil.
Add ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Put bell pepper and carrots. Adjust the taste to achieve sweet and sour.
Let it boil. Then add cornstarch (dissolve in cold water) to thicken
sauce.
Add fish, simmer for 5minutes.
Serve and enjoy!

Feel free to speak your mind :-)

Suman/Biko for All Saints' Day/All Souls' Day

Since I was a kid, celebrating All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day includes cooking andpreparing Native Filipino Food. Hubby and I have been living here in Malaysia for almost 3years and missing Filipino Foods, since foods here in Malaysia is a lot way different compared to our own country. I’m not an expert in terms of cooking but being away from Phils. had forced me to really learn how to cook good foods. Anyways, that’s why food blogs and internet are all about.

Here's my Suman or Biko.

2cups of gloutinous rice (malagkit na bigas/ Beras Pulut in Bahasa )
2cups of Brown Sugar
4cups of Coconut Milk

Cook gloutinous rice like the usual way of cooking rice, but lesser water than the required.
While cooking the rice, in a seperate pot, put coconut milk and let boil. Then add brown sugar.
When sticky enough add the cooked gloutinous rice. Stir occasionally, should be in a low fire.
When gloutinous rice and coconut milk is dry enough to move as one, then 'luto na po si biko'.

Serve and enjoy!!

Walang hilig ang love ko dito :-)

Juice.. it is..

These past few days, hubby and I have been into fruit juices. And since we're a bit health conscious kind of couple, hubby having his own mini-gym inside our room and jogging regularly. We make it a routine to have our homemade fruit juice twice a week.

And for this week, a combination of Kiwi, Apple and Grapefruit juice with honey.
Next week we'll try different kinds of berries ^_^

My Feature of the Day

I got this picture last week after my husband got home from work.

Meet my dear hubby Mr. Reneper M. Generaga, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Communications Engineering, currently working in a semicon company here in Muar,Malaysia. We've known each other since June 1997 during our college days. And we've been bf-gf relationship March 10,1998. We got married Nov.24,2003, same day with my birthday :).

I love you,Ne. You never fail to make me feel special and love in the true meaning of the word. You always have your way to make me laugh my heart out. I love you for so many reasons and for the simplest reason that you make my heart happy everyday. We have our ups and downs but it made us even stronger.
I love you!

.. and it's friday again..

Started my day with my usual routine, prepared breakfast for me and hubby, waved goodbye with a kiss and a hug before him heading to work.
And now, its me again with my fb and blog.
And it's friday again... my schedule for ironing our clothes, but that would be this afternoon while watching online streaming. Big thanks to the online streaming and for the bloggers who keeps on posting new movies online. I was able to watch NO OTHER WOMAN with hubby. It's a good story, though. Kakatawa, kakaiyak, kakagalit at nakakalungkot. Mixed emotions into one hehehe...
Looking forward for our dinner date this evening.
